Mission Aviation Fellowship is an organization that uses the tool of aviation as a platform to give "wings" to the Gospel so that people who are cut off from civilization due to physical isolation can experience Christ's love.
MAF is a multifaceted organization:
They serve those who serve - Providing transportation for missionaries to and from remote locations, bringing them supplies and encouragement so to increase effectiveness and longevity. MAF works alongside 600 other organizations globally, allowing them to do what they need to do.
They serve the community - Providing transportation from the village to the town, transporting in food, mail, and material for projects, setting up communication to the outside world via radio and satellites, job placement and technical training.
They serve the local Church - The #1 priority is to help the local Church thrive by providing support, training and discipling for the leaders.
They serve the sick - Providing transportation to the sick and injured when time is of the essence. From simple to life threatening ailments, MAF provides the transportation when there's no other way to get to help.
They serve during disaster - Providing life saving response as soon as natural disaster strikes. MAF is the first on the scene with teams and supplies ready to go before disasters happen.
They serve where Christ isn't welcome - MAF provides a tangible service to countries that are closed to missionaries, allowing them to share Jesus' love to those who's leaders say they cant hear it.
